The Owners’ 1960’s era summer cabin on Flathead Lake created many wonderful memories of summer vacations with friends and family for more than 20 years. So when retirement time approached, the summer cabin on the Lake, with its million dollar views was the obvious place to live year around. However, the home would need significant updates and improvements to be a year around residence, including the addition of more space.
Of special importance was an area to entertain, including a kitchen that allowed the homeowners to make use of their incredible cooking and entertaining talents. Thus, an spectacular gourmet kitchen and expansive deck design evolved. Living on Flathead Lake is a magnet for frequent visitors. So more bedroom space was important, therefore a third floor master bedroom, master bathroom, and home office were incorporated into the design along with large windows and a deck that allowed the spectacular views of the lake, mountains and sunrises to be viewed in all directions.
Throughout, art niches to display a unique glass collection were worked in. Stained glass windows that had been in the family for years were also built into the design. Their talent and keen eye for design and decorating is evident throughout every square foot of this incredible masterpiece.
